What is the Back the Future Campaign?

We are a collective of employers, intermediaries and apprenticeship training providers who believe we should be backing the UK’s future talent pipeline by not paying apprentice minimum wages, but by providing decent and fair pay for all apprentices employed in the UK. We are committed to addressing social mobility issues by ensuring individuals are not put off applying for apprenticeships because pay is too low. 

What are the entry requirements?

There are no entry qualifications just a commitment to give this pledge focus and drive and support now and in the future.

Who can make a pledge?

  • Our pledgers consist of large and small employers from a wide range of sectors who want to make a difference, grow their talent pipeline and support apprentices by paying higher wages.

  • Or intermediary companies not directly employing apprentices but who want to support the campaign and raise awareness with employers.

  • Membership is open to any organisation or individual interested in embedding decent wages for apprentices.
